Update On The Crazy Crew

Well it is about that time again. Time to update you all on the crazy goings on of the Newby family.

It has been a little over two months since I have posted anything on us so please bare with me while I try to update you all on the kiddos.

Kendrick:
Kendrick has been quite a handful the last few months. Last month he was diagnosed ADHD so we have been working with the transitions that the disorder entails. We have a great therapist that we see once or twice a month and she has helped us tremendously. On the 15th of this month, we went and spoke with a really good psychiatrist that started Kendrick on an extremely small dosage of medication to help calm him down some. We have had some good days and some bad days with it. It will be a long process of getting the right fit for him that just takes the edge off.
On the bright side, Kendrick will be starting preschool in August! I am one worried mama lol. I am excited for him and terrified for myself. He is my oldest, my baby boy. I can't believe that he is old enough to be starting school! I can't wait to go back to school shopping with him! hehe.

Okay, moving on....

Bryton:
Bryton is still experiencing some speech problems, but other than that he is doing extremely well. We plan to start working on the potty training in the next few weeks. As of right now he is taking that route the same way that Kendrick did when we started with him. Umm....I think that is about all on his update. Wow that looks very slim compared to Kendricks lol.

Sadie:
My baby girl turned 1 two weeks ago. I can't believe my baby is a toddler! It seriously amazes me how time flies by so quickly when you have little ones. Sadie is crawling everywhere, standing for long periods of time. If I could just get her to take a step on her own we would be in business. She has seven teeth, she can say mama, dada, bubba, hi, byebye, night night, and yeah. I am proud of my big girl! She loves everyone and everything, and I am amazed at how innocent and loving my daughter is.

The two adults are doing fine. I am working my butt off at work, and I am about a week and a half away from starting my two summer classes. Then I have a full spread of classes for fall and I will be even busier. I love staying busy and I love taking care of my family. I am about to have a week off with my kiddos and my two wonderful nieces Miracle and Lexi are coming to spend two weeks with me! I am hoping we can do some really awesome and fun stuff with them. It have been 4 years since I have had both of them under one roof!
The hubby is doing well. He has a full spread of fall classes coming up and he has been amazing in helping me keep things in order and reminding me not to stress out when I am ready to just crumble. I love my husband very much.

Well guys, I guess this as good as the update gets. I am exhausted after a very long day. We took the boys to the Mesker Zoo in Evansville Indiana. They had a BLAST! Mommy is extremely tired though lol. Okay, I guess thats it.

Everyone have a GREAT summer vacation and God Bless!

Its Almost Over!

So as I sit here on a Monday night severely procrastinating, as I should be doing some homework, I decided it was time for a Newby Family Update! I know everyone is on pins and needles waiting for me to post every 1-2 months...
We are a few short weeks away from the end of the Spring Semester, thank God!!! I thought it would never end. I am sad to say that I have done pitifully this semester due to lots of negative things happening in our lives that should have been avoided but weren't. Oh well, it is what it is I guess. I am contemplating whether or not to take the summer off and get a part time job that will help us in our moving fund. No decisions have been made yet though.

The kids are doing well. Sadie has mastered the art of crawling and has discovered there is more to the house than the living room and our bedroom. She made her way into the boys room this evening and realized that there were snacks and kids movies in there. She spent a good 30-45 minutes in their room snacking away at potato chips and watching Ice Age with Kendrick and Bryton.
Brytons speech is slowly improving. He still has a very noticeable lisp that I am somewhat concerned about, but I am still hoping it works itself out as he gets a little older.
Kendrick has figured out that he is "all that and a bag of chips" at the daycare. For the past couple of months I have been getting numourous reports of him being somewhat of a "bully". I have also had concerns raised to me by the director and his teacher of him having some type of Attention Deficit Disorder. I raised these concerns with his Pediatritian on Friday and we are setting up an evaluation. I am praying he is just a bully and nothing is seriously wrong.

Other than the crazy weather borne allergy stuff we are all doing well. I go to the doctor next week to discuss a preventative medication for my migranes as they seem to become more frequent and increasingly stronger. I think this is about the extent of the goings on at the Newby residence.

Time for me to go, the Hubby wants his computer back and keeps peeking over my shoulder waiting for me to be done :-)

See you around the same time next month!

Its Spring Time!

Hello Everyone:

I know it has been well over a month since I last updated all of you on the goings on of the Newby Family, but things have been extremely crazy and stressful I will admit I haven't had the time.

Oh well, everything seems to be working itself out and things are slowly going from insane back to crazy like it usually is around here. Lets see, where do I begin? Hmmmm....

Kendrick:
My wonderful oldest son has developed the art of standing on his head and climbing up shelves to get what he wants lol. He is 3 1/2 going on 20 I swear. He has also developed an attitude that is out of this world! I am trying to work with him on it but we haven't had a whole lot of success yet. Otherwise he is growing like a weed and developing as he should. He LOVES school, even on the weekends he wants to go to school and gets mad at me when I tell him he can't. Right now he is pretending to be Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story, and truly believes he can fly if he wants to. I love my imaginitive little boy, and am doing my best to let him explore and create with that imagination.

Bryton:
My beautiful red headed child, after eight long months, finally got a hair cut. Cutting off all of his cute curls was hard for me. He is still handsome though hehe. Bryton has slowly started showing an interest in potty training in the last week or so. But he has the same fear of the toilet that Kendrick had when he started potty training. Our goal with Bryton is to have him potty trained by his 3rd birthday (in October). He is doing really well in daycare. His teacher has them doing all kinds of arts and crafts and he is always bringing stuff home for Mommy to put up. He is speaking really well but he has a little bit of a speach problem that has me a little concerned. I'm hoping it is just a phase, but if it doesnt start to go away within the next couple of months as he grow I believe we will be asking the doctor for some advice on clearing up his speach.

Sadie:
My Sadie bug is 9 months old! In the last month she has gotten three teeth, she has started crawling, and she is starting to eat some table foods. She is sooo big! Sadie is very well liked at daycare by her teacher, and she always has a smile on her face when she goes in. She loves to be around the other babies and to play all day. I can't believe that in 2 1/2 months Sadie will be 1 year old! I am starting to think about what theme to do for her big birthday bash! Trust me there will be plenty of pictures posted on facebook when that happens.

The Adults:
The hubby and I are doing well. Working really hard on school and the other activities we are apart of. We went through a very stressful situtation a few weeks back and we are working on being closer as a couple. :-) Life is good right now and I thank God everyday for that.
I have completed one of my classes for the spring semester early. I am very proud of myself for that. There are only a few short weeks left of the spring semester left and then we move on to the summer semester. I swear we live at school more than we live at home! lol. It's okay though, we are working towards our dreams and I will spend as much time at school as I need to to be able to get what I want to accomplish done.

Well I do believe that this is a pretty good update. I don't believe I have forgotten anything. I hope everyone enjoys their wonderful spring as we will.

A New Year

Hello my dear friends and family. I know it has been ages since I have posted any updates but let me tell you it has been absolutely insane the last couple of months! Midterms and finals and working and kids and spouse! We have been running around like crazy!
Well, let me fill you in on everything that has been going on.

After a long first semester we survived by the skin on our teeth! I do have to brag and say that I made ALL A's my first semester and I am very proud of myself for an awesome comeback after 5 years of no school haha. The hubby did okay, although I dont think he was truly prepared for the culture shock of being back in school like I was. Thats okay, he will ROCK spring semester and keep his head high!

Kendrick and Bryton are loving daycare and doing extremely well. They are learning so much and getting so smart and before we know it they will be smarter than their parents haha.
Sadie started daycare the week after Christmas. Of course I went through the typical "my baby is starting daycare" freak out lol but Sadie is doing great in daycare! I am very excited and proud of my three beautiful children and all they have learned and experienced in the last year. I am proud to be their mother.

As the new year begins, so does a new semester, a new learning experience, and new chapter in our lives. I hope and pray that this year brings lots of wonderful things and few obsticles in our careers and lives.

This isn't a very long update but I believe it about covers everything for now. I shall try to update monthly with all of the new and wonderful experiences that the family embraces.

Keep the Faith!
